Seven years ago at only 13 years old, I witnessed my first eclipse. For this project seven years later, I led the vision and execution for a paper where our publication gets to describe the science, beauty and rarity behind this celestial spectacle.

To me, the eclipse represents a change. As the moon covers the sun, individuals come together for four minutes of totality and witness beauty.

In this special section, we wanted to present our audience with needed information, quick facts and artistic depictions of this amazing event. From weather reports to an in depth description of why eclipses are so rare, our staff and volunteers have come together to create a special section that represents the full responsibility of the Arrow: to inform and educate.

The Arrow will also have a full website version of our Special Section available to viewers at southeastarrow.com, alongside multimedia and updated content on April 8.
