In addition to the Gary G. Johnson and Mary V. Moore Johnson Endowed Scholarships, the Southeast Missouri State University Foundation has established several other scholarships that will be available to business students. All of these scholarships have had the initial pledges matched dollar-for-dollar by the foundation.

The Gamewell Family Scholarship was established through a donation of $10,000 by William T. Gamewell, Senior Vice President in charge of commercial real estate lending at Commerce Bank and Southeast Alumnus from the class of 1972. Any student at Southeast can apply, but first preference will be given to full-time students enrolled in the Harrison College of Business. These students must also be from either the greater St. Louis Area or an international business student who is at the end of his or her junior year of college. Said student must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and has demonstrated leadership within the college.

Another new scholarship is the Michael J. Grojean Endowed Scholarship. Grojean, Partner Emeritus and Firm Ambassador for Anders CPA + Advising donated $10,000 to establish the scholarship. First preference for this scholarship will be given to a student currently enrolled in the Harrison College of Business or the College of Education at Southeast. The student will also have attended either Thomas W. Kelly High School in Burton, Mo., or Oren High School in Oren, Mo. In addition, students need to have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and have financial need verified by the FAFSA form.

In addition, Vicki Boren endowed the Lee E. Boren Scholarship in memory of her brother. Vicki Boren donated $5,000 for the scholarship. Lee E. Boren was a graduate of Southeast and regional manager of several companies. First preference for this scholarship will be given to one of Lee E. Boren, while second preference will be given to a business student at Southeast. Said student also needs a GPA of 2.0 or higher. The Donald L. Harrison College of Business Scholarship Committee will choose the recipient.

Finally, the HD Supply Endowed Scholarship was established by a donation from HD Supply Waterworks, the nation's leader in water and wastewater services, as well as the storm and fire protection industries. The corporation donated $10,000 for the scholarship. In order to be eligible, students need to be seeking a career in distribution and a degree in management or finance. Business minors are also eligible. Students also need a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The dean of the college of business will choose the recipient with assistance from representatives of HD Supply.
