Stone successful in BrazilPosted Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 3:23 PM
Southeast Missouri State University basketball player Tyler Stone spent a week in Brazil with the Sports Reach Ministry exhibition team.
Stone, a junior from Memphis, Tenn., was in Brazil from Aug. 3 through Aug. 10. The team played five games during that time. Stone scored over 20 points in four of the games. The team won gold medals at the 5th Annual Terra de Sole Basketball Cup in Fortaleza, Brazil with a 98-49 win over Catholic University. Stone had seven points, 10 rebounds and six assists in that victory. Southeast coach Dickey Nutt tweeted on Aug. 5, "Tyler won't be back to the U.S. until Aug. 10. We wish you the best of luck. That's great exposure for our program." Comments |
