Meg Herndon Update

Posted Friday, September 14, 2012, at 3:41 PM

Southeast soccer player Meg Herndon remains hospitalized after the accident she was involved in Sunday afternoon.

"Day 5 and Meg is with us, still fighting," an update on caringbridge.org said. "During the night they tested her breathing, by turning down the vent, she decided to initiate some breaths on her own!!!!!!!!! They let her do that for about 45 minutes, then decided to turn the vent settings back up, so she did not tire."

According to the post, Meg will have surgery on her pelvis and hip area once she is able to lay flat on her back.

T-shirt and rubber bracelets are available to be ordered to raise money for Meg's medical expenses.

To order a bracelet email pray4meg@gmail.com with the number of bracelets you'd like to order and your location. Bracelets cost $2. They are red and black and say "PRAY4MEG".

T-shirts can be ordered through today, Fri. Sept. 14. To order a shirt contact Amanda Farrow at (573) 576-1803. Small through Extra Large shirts cost $15 and 2X and 3X shirts cost $18.
