Members of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Chelsea Chockley, Myka Fitch and Kelly Farrell attended Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, where the Alpha Chi Omega headquarters are located. They worked at the merchandise store to help raise money for the Alpha Chi Omega foundation. They are sophomores at Southeast Missouri State University. Chockley is an advertising and public relations major, Fitch is a communication disorders major and Farrell is a social studies education major.

Q: What was the purpose of attending this event?

A: We did this through our sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and the headquarters up in Indianapolis. For every hour we worked, $8.50 got donated to the Alpha Chi Omega foundation.

Q: What is the Alpha Chi Omega foundation?

A: It is a foundation that gives members scholarship opportunities, helps with education costs, helps sisters struggling with life changes and helps women and children at risk of domestic violence.

Q: How did your sorority find out about this?

A: One of the sorority girls, Ashley Harris, is dating a football player who came across the website. We signed up and had to fill out paperwork. We were able to take 15 to 20 girls, but to be able to go we would have had to miss class, so it ended up just being Myka, Kelly and I who were able to go.

Q: What are some things you guys got to do?

A: We were able to go to the stadium, and we got our credentials that gave us access to everything in the stadium. We were also able to watch the dress rehearsal for the halftime show. On the first night in the Super Bowl village they had free concerts. LMFAO had a concert.

Q:Were you able to meet anyone from the Alpha Chi Omega headquarters?

A: We were the only collegiate members there so everyone we met from Alpha Chi were alumni and from headquarters. It was really beneficial for us getting to go and meet all these women because this summer we have convention, and we were able to make connections so once we get there we will see some familiar faces.

Q: What work did you guys do?

A: We worked at the merchandise store all day. We sold the merchandise to people that included helmets and clothes.

Q: What did you have to pay for out of pocket?

A: We had to pay for gas to get there and a few of our meals. We didn't have to pay for a hotel because we stayed with Kelly's aunt. She made us lunch every day, and then inside the stadium we had all-Super Bowl access.

Q: How would you describe the experience?

A: It was absolutely amazing. We would have never got to do this if it wasn't for Alpha Chi Omega. We got to meet TV producers and athletes. It was amazing to be part of something like this.
