At Southeast, we all pass by new faces every day. Each student, faculty and staff member possesses artifacts which make them who they are, whether they be trinkets or relics. This weekly feature explores a gallery of those personal artifacts and the stories behind them. This is the Arrow’s “Museum of Me.”

A 3D holographic picture of dogs playing pool that was a gift from his mother. Zach got his dog, Mojo, when he was eight and was inseparable from him for many years."Mojo was a bulldog that thought he was a lapdog. He liked to lay on people's laps and steal food off the table," he said. "I got this [picture] a very long time ago because one of the dogs looked like my bulldog, and I really liked it. My mom was then like, 'Yeah, we'll get that for you for Christmas." Mojo was sometimes a bit much to handle, but Zach still loved him, anyway ."[Mojo] passed away a long time ago, so sometimes looking at [this picture] reminds me of him."

A PC Zach helped build before coming to college. A couple of months before heading to college, Zach's dad sat down with him and assisted him in making a computer. "That was fun to do. It was like my first actual computer. It's pretty important to me," Zach said. "Building this computer brought me back to that memory everyone has of when their dad is fixing his car and he's like, "Okay hold the flashlight, but don't touch anything!"

A collage of photos of Zach's family and friends. As a gift for heading to college, Zach's stepmom made him a photo collage of important moments in Zach's life. "My stepmother made this for me before I headed off to college. It has a lot of memories of mine in here. There's one of me when I went scuba diving with all my friends, one of me when I ranked up in a program I was in, my dad's wedding." Some of the images have a deeper meaning to Zach than just being fond memories. "I've always really liked scuba diving, so having this picture of me scuba diving with my friends is really nice. I used to be afraid of going underwater, so having this is just a reminder of how I overcame my fear and got to do something I enjoy with my friends."
