This season Baylin has 1.09 kills, .16 assists, .14 service aces, 1.96 digs, .07 blocks and 1.28 points for each of the 56 sets she's played.

"Coach wants individuals on the team to stand up and lead, so that's what I'll be trying to do," said Baylin.

She was a captain in Dublin High School in Dublin, Ohio, and was an honorable mention on the American Volleyball Coaches Association/Under Armour Girls High School All-American team, Prepvolleyball.com

All-American Team selection, two-time Conference and District Player of the Year, Gatorade Player of the Year finalist, two-time team MVP, two-time All-State selection, Second Team All-Conference, honorable mention All-District as a sophomore, honorable mention All-Conference selection as a freshman and named PrepVolleyball.com "Senior Ace" as one of the top-100 seniors in the country.

As a high school senior Baylin led the team with 71 aces, 287 kills, 3.82 kills per set, 244 digs, 3.25 digs per set and seven double-doubles. Baylin also recorded 28 blocks and a .498 attack percentage with seven aces in one match. Her season high was 21 kills in one match.

Baylin led her team to a 29-1 record and a final national ranking of 25th as a senior and led the team to a 25-2 record as a junior. As a sophomore she led the team in blocks and digs and as a freshman Baylin started at middle blocker leading the team with a .588 attack percentage.

Dublin High School finished as state runner-ups ranking as high as 6th nationally during the four-years that Baylin spent as a starter.

"I struggled a lot in the preseason because it was a lot different than I was used to," said Baylin. "It's a lot more intense than high school."

Baylin has been maturing fast mentally and physically as the season continues.

Head Coach Renata Heard said, "She's now caught up in the mental part of the game and has adjusted to the speed nicely."

Baylin and teammate freshman setter Julie Shives spent three years together playing for Columbus Volleyball Academy making it to the Junior Olympics two years in row.

"She [Shives] is very level headed and a hard worker," Baylin said. "We never fight and our chemistry is great on the court."

Her goals while here at Southeast are to make it to the OVC Championship and "win it all" to move onto the NCAA finals.

"The seniors push me mentally at every practice and it has helped my performance a lot," Baylin said.

Heard is pleased with Baylin's performance on the court.

"She's feisty on the court and has a win/win mentality," said Heard. "She is a competitor in every sense."
