Christian artist Jonny Diaz played his popular "Chick-fil-A Song" at Saturday's concert at New McKendree United Methodist Church South Campus in Jackson, Mo.

Local contemporary Christian radio station KHIS celebrated its five-year anniversary Saturday night with a concert featuring Jonny Diaz, Todd Agnew and Jordan Cox at New McKendree United Methodist Church South Campus in Jackson, Mo.

Cox, choir director at Jackson Senior High and praise and worship leader at Fruitland Community Church, opened for Diaz and Agnew with a cover of The City Harmonic's "Manifesto." He then performed Starfield's popular "Saving One."

"I do not see myself as a songwriter at all," Cox said as he introduced his latest untitled song. "This song came from a couple summers ago -- just out of prayer and a lot of reflection on God's word."

Before his last number, Cox thanked the crowd for attending and introduced the members of his band.

"God has really blessed me with a lot of really cool friends," Cox said before he and his wife Casey performed the last song, "Mighty to Save."

As Diaz took the stage, he introduced bandmate Chris and said they were honored to be there to share songs and stories.

"We're not here to put on a show at all," Diaz said before performing "I Can See You." "We're just here to play songs that God has laid on our hearts."

Diaz then launched into a country-style hit "Sarah Jo."

"I hope you guys don't hold this against me, but I actually grew up listening to country music," Diaz said.

Before finishing his set, Diaz traded guitars.

"I had to switch guitars because playing two guitars is way cooler than playing one," he said.

Diaz then sang several of his well-known songs, including "Beauty of the Cross" and "The Chick-fil-A Song." The latter received an overwhelming response.

Diaz said his favorite part about Chick-fil-A is that the employees respond to "Thank you" with "It's my pleasure."

"I say 'thank you' like 90 times just to mess with them," Diaz said.

Diaz then performed a reggae-style song called "Love Like You Love."

"My hope as a songwriter is really to do three things: entertain, to encourage and to challenge the body of Christ," Diaz said. "Those are the three things that I hope happen through every song that I write," Diaz said as he played "Break My Heart," followed by "They Need Love," "Scars" and his finale "Beautiful."

Diaz never planned on recording "Beautiful," which was his first song that made it to the radio and to No.1 on the Christian music charts.

"My wife looked at me and said, 'Jonny, you have to record that song,'" Diaz said. "So I looked at her and said, 'Baby, I'm the man of this house. Yes, dear. Whatever you say.'"

Agnew took the stage next and discussed the importance of loving others. He suggested sponsoring a child in another country through World Vision, a Christian organization that works with poverty-stricken families around the world.

Agnew performed "In the Middle of Me," "My Jesus," "Love Your Neighbor," "Grace Like Rain," "The One You Want," "Mighty to Save," his own rendition of "Amazing Grace" and his popular "God Undefeatable."

"I think this is the pep rally, and that out there is the game," Agnew said. "We were here tonight to encourage you and challenge you, but it's what you do next that is your walk."
