At the Student Government Association meeting on Nov. 18 it was announced that next year homecoming will be moved to Oct. 4 and fall break will remain as is. But in 2015, as a resolution voted on by the faculty senate, Thanksgiving break will be extended to a full week, eliminating fall break.

In other business:

Secretary of the Student Government Association Jami Conley came to talk about Dance Marathon, an organization that raises money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in greater St. Louis. It will hold a 12-hour event from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the Student Recreation Center-North at Southeast Missouri State University.

The Collegiate Farm Bureau applied for funding of $669 for an annual conference. The Executive Board reviewed the application and the Student Senate voted to pass the application for funding.

An announcement was made that a service initiative will be put into motion for Washington, Ill. for victims of the tornado that swept through the city on Nov. 17. A group of students will travel to the area to do cleanup work.

A survey was given out to students regarding adding additional televisions in Towers café. The results showed that there was no need for additional televisions.
