Student Government Association (SGA) came together to approve five new resolutions from the Funding Board Committee and By-Laws Revisions Committee March 27.

Gamma Sigma Sigma was approved for their $300 request to fund two students of the organization to travel to their conference July 13. The conference will allow these members to bring back new information for their organization.

The Funding Board approved African Student Organization’s request of $1556.71 to aid the organization’s African Night April 14. This will help fund food, rentals and decorations for the event.

Te’Mariah Dorsey requested and was approved with funds of $300 for travel for a research trip May 22.

“We are hoping that this opportunity can open up that door for studying outside the country,” Dorsey said.

The Student Research Committee (SRC) was approved for their request of $950 for shirt funds from the Discretionary Account. These shirts featuring both SRC and SGA logos will be part of a campus event April 28.

The By-Law Revision Committee was approved for their revisions to the SGA Constitution and By-Laws including guidelines for funding requests and how to receive funding, as well as correcting typo of “sumple majority” to “simple majority.”
