The Redhawks had a total of 60 kills, a season high, which nine of the 10 players contributed to. They had 14 kills in the first set, 16 in the second, 17 in the third and 13 in the fourth.

Reed Jr. key in men’s basketball push for OVC tournament (2/25/21)by Clay Herrell ~ Sports EditorJunior guard Eric Reed Jr. has been a key piece for the Redhawks men’s basketball team during the 2020-21 campaign. Reed was named the Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 22. He averaged 19 points per game on 56% shooting from the field and 53.8% shooting from the three in the week span.

One college athlete, women’s basketball forward sophomore Sophia Hancock, had her countless hours turn into a scholarship after walking on the Southeast women's basketball team her freshman year. Hancock went from averaging three minutes per game her freshman season to averaging 10 minutes per game her sophomore season. All collegiate athletes put in countless hours in the gym. One college athlete, women’s basketball forward sophomore Sophia Hancock, had her countless hours turn into a scholarship after walking on the Southeast women's basketball team her freshman year. This semester showcases every sport the university has to offer, including men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, track, cross country, gymnastics and football. This is a stark contrast to the fall, when there was one football game in Carbondale, Ill., and the beginning of the men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

Frisbee gets ultimate (1/30/21)by Justin Trovillion ~ Arrow ReporterUltimate frisbee is a sport on the rise among SEMO students, combining soccer with throwing a frisbee and a little bit of football. While playing the game, a team of seven people tries to catch the frisbee in their opponent’s end-zone for a point. The Ultimate Frisbee Club at Southeast meets at the Intramural Turf Fields every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday at 6:20 p.m. Any SEMO student is eligible to join the club by signing up on SE Link. The club gives members an opportunity to be physically active without a lot of physical demand.
