SEMO baseball lost to the Toledo Rockets on Mar. 3 at Capaha Field, finishing their four game series after taking the first three games.

In the first game on Friday Mar. 2, senior outfielder Josh Cameron hit a walk-off two run home run to push the Redhawks to a 6-5 win.

A Saturday doubleheader brought two victories for the Redhawks, winning 12-0 and 13-3. In both games the SEMO offense was aided by grand slams. Senior catcher Nolan Ackerman hit a grand slam in the fourth inning and in the second game, senior designated hitter Ty Stauss hit one of his own in the first inning.

Though the offense shined through on Saturday, the pitching staff played a key role as well. Senior left handed pitcher Haden Dow struck out nine batters and allowed only three hits in six scoreless innings in game one. In game two junior right handed pitcher Brian Strange struck out seven in six innings.

In the final game the Redhawks were not able to comeback from a 9-3 deficit, losing 10-9.

The Redhawks will look to bounce back from their loss on Mar. 5 at 3 pm when the University of Middle Tennessee comes to Capaha Field .
