Born in the Philippines and raised in California, De Guzman began performing comedy during his time at the University of California Davis where he studied psychology. It was through small performances that he learned the importance of connecting with the audience, regardless of its size. Now at the age of 26 and on his third world tour, De Guzman is turning what was once just a dream, into his reality. He has performed for Stand-Up Tokyo and ROR Comedy in Japan, the Jokers Ball in Indonesia, the Badaboom Comedy Series in Amsterdam, the Edmonton Comedy Festival and countless other international shows.

Combining music and comedy in a rather peculiar fashion, De Guzman serenades the audience into laughter. Throughout the act he tells stories of traveling the world, life after college and his family. His song topics varied from stories of living with his parents and using performance enhancing drugs to the colonization of the Philippines.

“I loved how he was able to tell these hilarious stories while playing and singing his heart out,” said Ethan Jones, a student at Southeast. “His comedic ability is out of this world.”

He took time during the act to ask the audience exactly what they wanted to talk about, something you may never see any other comedian do.

De Guzman has shared the stage with comedians like Tim Allen, Margaret Cho and Daniel Tosh. De Guzman is featured on the second season of “Coming to the Stage” on Hulu, Comedy Central's “Kevin Hart Presents: Hart of the City” and MTV's “Acting Out.” His debut album, “Dual Citizen,” also is available on Sirius XM Radio's Laugh USA channel.
