Dave Heise, a 40-year media veteran, describes election night in two words.

“Total chaos.”

Heise is a former KFVS producer, director and master control operator.

He believes Trump received more media attention than Clinton leading up to election night, but it was because the Trump campaign was more exciting.

“I do think he got better coverage, but his functions were more lively and absolutely full every time,” he said.

Heise has covered a number of elections, none of which has been as tight as this race. Heise believes this race is an indication of how divided the nation is.

“Totally divided. Both sides seem to be angry at each other,” he said.

Heise doesn’t know how the country will come together and is unsure if Trump is the candidate who can bring the nation together.

“We’ll have to wait and see,” he said.
