Southeast’s Japanese Student Association is hosting a Japanese Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in Dempster’s Glenn Auditorium.

“JSA decided to come back active this semester at the last minute. We think these cultural events are very important to keep showcasing our cultural diversity on campus, we hope you guys enjoy our event that we have been preparing,” senior Ingrid Haguihara, president of JSA, said.

JSA acts like a family and the group’s intention is to keep the association together so not only Japanese members but all student members continue to benefit, making lifelong friendships and possibly meeting future co-workers by networking to get the most out of their college experience at Southeast.

“Our mission is to showcase our culture on campus and educate other SEMO students about our

culture in the best way possible. JSA does what they do because we want to maintain our brotherhood strong and also reinforce our relations with domestic students and other international associations,” Haguihara said.

Japanese Night will be the only JSA event for this semester due to exhausted funds but encourages students to join and says JSA is always open to anyone interested regardless of nationality or country of origin. For more information you can contact JSA http://semojsa.org

Japanese Night will feature free traditional Japanese food, music, dances and a quiz show.

All students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
