Hometown: Memphis, Tennessee

"My favorite thing to do when I am home is to ride on the bike trail, I enjoy riding along the Green Line," Thomas said. "I also enjoy eating at Germantown Commissary. Often we'd skip class and go eat and pray we did not get caught on the way back."

Height: 5 feet 5 inches

"Most gymnast are small, but I'm the second tallest on the team," Thomas said.

Germantown Commissary is a barbecue restaurant, located seconds away from her high school, Germantown High school.

Parents: Richard and Shelia Thomas

"My dad is service manager at BMW and my mom is a nurse practitioner," said Thomas. "My mom is my inspiration, she had four kids and still managed to complete her masters. I can remember my dad taking us to the hospital and my siblings and I would be in the room, watching Barney while drinking chocolate milk."

Siblings: Two sisters and a brother

"My older sister is actually a nursing student , too, at the University of Memphis," Thomas said. "She also played soccer. We will graduate at the same time. My younger sister is about to graduate and attend the University of Memphis as well. She is a dancer. My brother he attends Houston High school. He is interested in whatever."

Pets: two dogs and a bird

"My dog's names are Max and Elvis," Thomas said. "How Memphis of me to have a dog named Elvis. I also have a bird named Khicken Wing, it talks too."

Life after college:

"I may go back home, but I am honestly open to wherever," Thomas said. "I do not want to be too far away from home, so I have been considering Nashville."

Message to your teammates:

"Cherish every moment, because the time between freshmen and senior year goes by so fast," Thomas said. "This has been one of my favorite seasons. Everyone gets along so well with another. I am going to miss them. I hope to come back for senior night and alumni night."

Balancing nursing and gymnastics:

"It took a lot of communicating with my coaching staff," Thomas said. "Some days I will have to practice at 8:30 in the morning or do strength and conditioning at different times from the team. If the team is having practices on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 I will have to practice early on Monday, because I have class during that time. I worked with my coaches a lot before changing my major to nursing."
