Students may feel overwhelmed or otherwise distressed after all of the changes made by the university in reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic. In times of distress, students may benefit from an appointment with Counseling and Disability Services.

Due to the pandemic and Southeast’s switch to a virtual format, Counseling and Disability Services is offering telehealth consultations as of March 30.

These services are offered on a limited basis and by appointment only via Zoom, Skype and VSee. The virtual services take place of the free in-person consultations the university was offering before the switch to remote learning. Some paperwork is required for virtual appointments, which is easily made accessible by email.

More information regarding resources and hotlines are available on the Southeast portal at https://semo.edu/ucs/.

In the event of a crisis, Counseling and Disability Services can be reached by phone at (573) 986-6191 or by email at ucs@semo.edu. To make an appointment, call 573-986-6191.
