Turning Point USA at Southeast Missouri State University has scheduled a screening of the new documentary “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in his own words.”

Written and directed by Micheal Pack, the documentary tells the story of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who has served on the nation's highest court for nearly three decades.

Created Equal released in January 2020 — marking Pack’s third director’s credit. Pack’s previous works have also focused on important figures in American history, Hamilton and Admiral Hyman G. Rickover.

The attendees will view the documentary at the University Center Terraces on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Organizers at Turning Point USA at SEMO ask attendees to bring their own lawn chairs or alternative seating.

In the event of bad weather, the screening will move indoors to the Show Me Center, Turning Point USA at SEMO Chapter President Ethan Protzel said.

Entry to the viewing is free, but organizers ask that attendees reserve tickets for the purposes of preparation and contact tracing if someone present tests positive for COVID-19.

If the event is forced to change locations, those who have reserved tickets will be notified by email, and Turning Point USA at SEMO will make an announcement through Facebook, Eventbrite and on the chapter’s website.

To reserve a ticket or for more information, please visit tpusasemo.com.
