It is officially spring, and you know what that means? Yep, it’s time for my list of ways to enjoy the season to its fullest. Here are some ways you can make the most out of spring:

>>>>>Plan a picnic with friends at a local park. While Cape has more than 20 city parks in total, there are approximately 14 parks that are better suited for having picnics or just enjoying the nice weather such as Capaha Park, Choctaw Park, and Kiwanis Park.

>>>>>Check out a local drive-in. The Rock ‘N’ Roll Drive-In Theater in Chaffee, Mo., plays movies on weekends.

>>>>>Check out Spring into Dance, which features Southeast faculty and students, April 8-11 at River Campus. Tickets are available at RiverCampus.org.

>>>>>Visit one of the farmer’s markets in town:

>>>>>>>>>>SEMO Market is student-made, by students and for students. The only time to visit this market is April 10!

>>>>>>>>>>The Cape Farmer’s Market opens April 15 at the West Park Mall and will be there every Thursday from Noon to 5 p.m.

>>>>>>>>>>The Cape Riverfront Market, located on Spanish Street, will open in May on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to Noon.

>>>>>If you are into watching sports, this spring is definitely the time to go out and watch one of the five outdoor sports that have a spring season this year.

If you aren’t into any of these activities but more into relaxing, then sometimes all it takes is sitting outside, taking a drive or opening a window to enjoy spring.
