Anyone who hates on sweatshirts is totes lying to themselves.

They’re comfy. They’re cozy. Sweatshirts and hoodies are the easiest way to totally elevate your outfit during the chilly November mornings.

This fall, muted colors are the name of the game. One of the hottest shades this season is a muted brown — check out this version by Old Navy in “Sedona!"” Sage green, dusty rose and cream hues are also making appearances on retailers’ websites and influencers’ photos.

My pal, K, wears a v cute forest green sweatshirt, a true trendsetter!

The big question: To crop or not to crop?

If you’ve been keeping up, you already know that a big pants, little shirt outfit totally rules supreme. Pick a boxy cropped version and pair with high-waisted bottoms.

To go a bit more old school (read: before 2019), choose an oversized fit and longer cut. Of course, this look wouldn’t be complete without skinny jeans or leggings. Very 2013 chic! As chuegy as it *might* be, you’ve gotta admit, there’s nothing more cozy.

While sweatshirts are known for their laid-back vibe, they can still totally complete a fancier ‘fit. Pair a cropped sweatshirt with a satin midi skirt, like this one from Madewell. Combine a vintage-style sweatshirt and a fun ruffle skirt for an Insta-ready outfit.

Orrrr, if you’re feeling a bit more of ~Animal Crossing~ vibes, you might pair a cream sweatshirt with Free People’s red corduroy overalls.
