Distance runner Taylor Fox won two awards at the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Track and Field Championship, including Female Track Athlete of the Year and Female Athlete of the Championship, according to the OVC’s Twitter.

During the championship, Fox finished first in the women’s mile with a time of 4:55:14, and also earned a gold medal in the 800-meter race after finishing in 2:22:99.

Fox had a record breaking season, and broke the record of the fastest women’s mile time with a 4:48:41 race. The previous record was set at 4:51:94, according to semoredhawks.com.
