Local Hulahae blog

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

It's Tuesday again, but it is a beautiful Tuesday. There's a light breeze that's only slightly chilly. I was transformed this morning as I was walking to class listening to Radiohead. This is perfect Radiohead weather, my friends. (They'll be in St. Louis in March, by the way.) And, of course, Tuesday is the day that Hulahae brings you all things local.

Let's see what we have for this week:

Joseph Matthew Parent will be returning to LoDo's for his bi-weekly show tomorrow night from 9 pm to 1 am, playing his folk and blues tunes. Or you could go across the way to Port Cape on Water St. and check out the Whistle Pigs from 9 pm to 1 am for their own bi-weekly show. Get down to the rockabilly, bluegrass tunes of Joe, Randy and Alex!

Friday, you can check out the Ben Miller Band with The Big Idea down at Port Cape from 9 pm to 1 am. This is the first time the Ben Miller Band has played Port Cape, so head down and make them feel welcome, and they'll do the same for you. And, of course, don't miss Cape's own The Big Idea. They love you!

Also on Friday, you can head down to Pitter's Cafe and Lounge to see Brother Bagman. They've got some rockin' groove tunes that you can really get down to, so if you wanna party hard, do it there friends!

And listen to me today from 4 pm to 5 pm on your only true alternative station in the area - RAGE 103.7!
