A man who attended Southeast Missouri State University last semester was arrested in New York today for his involvement in a plot to bomb the Federal Reserve Bank.

According to the university registrar's office, he was an international student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity, a new major offered at Southeast starting in fall 2011. He was enrolled in 12 credit hours, according to CBS News.

Southeast news bureau director Ann Hayes confirmed that Nafis was a student at Southeast.

The Southeast Missouri State University Registrar's Office told CBS News that Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, 21, attended the university during the spring 2012 from Jan. 17 to May 11.

He was no longer enrolled at the university.
