Spring involvement fair returns to SEMO
Southeast hosted its annual spring involvement fair for students on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the University Center. The spring involvement fair occurs at the start of each spring semester. The fair is hosted by Campus Life and Event Services with the assistance of the Student Government University Affairs Chair. The involvement fair gives students an opportunity to make new connections with student organizations, volunteer community organizations and their peers. Traditionally, campus life hosts a larger fall fair to welcome students to Southeast’s campus. This spring there were a total of 43 organizations at the fair, the largest number since 2019. Director of Campus Life & Event Services Michelle Irby says Southeast is having more incoming students in the spring semester. “We know that sometimes students in the fall semesters did not find what they were looking for,” Irby said. “We want to give new students an opportunity to get connected right away in the spring.”
