Personally, I would consider this song to be almost ballad-esque. However, it’s not about

puppies, fairy-dust and love. This song is more about someone realizing someone they used to hold so dear is now cold toward them. He struggles internally with trying to fix it, or realizing that there is no way to fix it.

__“Featherstone” by The Paper Kites__

Ever thrown your heart on the line for someone who may not have necessarily felt the

same way? This song is about someone being in love with someone, but the person they love is not the type to stay in one place. This person wants to go out and be in the world, and the person in love with them is learning to cope with that reality.

__“What You Desire” by Daggy Man__

I really appreciate this song because it focuses on the idea you can get so distracted on what other people expect or want from you, that you can fall off course for what you actually desire for your life. Your life is your own, so start living it that way.

__“Back Again” by Flor__

This song is about distance between two people, or having to take time apart, and how it affects them emotionally. You can really feel the pain behind the situation and how much they mean to each other, but the distance is necessary— and it isn’t forever.

__“Closer” by Nick Wilson__

This song is about coming from a past stained with hurt from a previous

relationship that ruined the idea of love for them. However, he sings about finding someone unexpectedly that consumed his world and thoughts, and made him rethink everything.

__“Out of Order” by Michl__

Sometimes things end and you feel completely devastated. Maybe someone became

your world, and then when they left— the world left too. Without that person you don’t

even want to wake up, dream, or be.
