The Southeast volleyball season ended with a three-set loss to Morehead State in the quarterfinal round of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament on Friday at the Windfield Dunn Center in Clarksville, Tennessee.

The sixth-seeded Redhawks fell 24-33, 10-25, 19-25 to the third-seeded Eagles.

Despite the loss, SEMO had productive games from Junior outside hitter Annie Wehrheim and senior right side hitter Haley Bilbruck paced the Redhawks with seven and six kills, respectively. The duo also earned second team All-OVC for their efforts this season.

Freshman Claire Ochs contributed 17 assists along with 12 digs, marking her 19th career double.

The assist total was a season low for the freshman setter, but she finished the season with 1,104, which ranks fourth on Southeast’s single-season record list.

Defensively, sophomore Ally Dion led Southeast with 13 digs while senior Madeline Grimm tallied 11.

Olivia Lohmeier, the OVC player of the Year, led the Eagles with 18 kills.

The Redhawks closed the season with a battle against Morehead State along with a final record of 16-14 overall and 8-8 in conference play.
