Local Cape Girardeau restaurant Dogwood Social House will add a new location in St. Louis opening early this summer.

Akash Patel, manager at Dogwood Social House, said customers are ecstatic for the new location which will be open seven days a week.

“We have a ton of guests that come down from St. Louis as it is,” Patel said. “The amount of people that say St. Louis has nothing like this — you can't even count it.”

The Cape Girardeau location offers a variety of entertainment such as axe throwing, table games and private karaoke, along with food and drinks.

“I think it should be an easy transition,” Patel said. “I think we already know what the clientele is going to be like and it's going to be very similar to what we have in Cape.”

Patel said the new location will include a stage for live entertainment, party rooms and the biggest LED video wall.

Patel said the local location opened their eyes to ideas they didn’t see the first go-around.

Visitors can look forward to a larger axe throwing arena, shuffleboard, ping-pong, pinball and a few new additions such as bocce ball and bomb bowling.

Bomb bowling is similar to bowling, except guests use a football to knock down the pins instead of a ball, Patel said.

The new location will continue the beer wall and include a mezzanine, full-service restaurant and a conference room.

“We’re gonna have over 100 different beers on tap,” Patel said. “Utilizing local breweries around our location along with a wide variety of domestic and craft beers, as well.”

Customers will be able to be their own bartender or visit one of the three bars located on the mezzanine or main floor.

Patel said they expect to serve a wide range of people at the new location.

“You have different people coming from all over because you have an international airport there,” Patel said. “It'll be a little different, but I think it's something that we are ready for.”

The facility will provide arcade games that will cater to children as well as hybrid arcade games where families can play.

The new location will be at 15682 Manchester Road in Ellisville, Missouri.
