Voter registration closes Wednesday, Feb. 12 for the March 10 presidential primary election where voters will choose a party ballot of their choice and select a candidate for nomination for U.S. President.

Information tables will be located at the University Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 12 and River Campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Emily Denlinger, a faculty member at Southeast, will host tables where students can register to vote or ask questions about voter registration.

SEMO Votes, a non-partisan organization, will be available for questions on the election process or to help complete a voter registration during the events.

Missouri residents can check their voter registration by visiting Missouri Secretary of State Voter Registration and Illinois residents can check their voter registration by visiting the Illinois State Board of Elections Voter Application.

Many states, including Missouri and Illinois, have online voter registration, or one can download the National Mail Voter Registration Form to mail in their registration.

People can also use Vote.org as a resource to check voter registration, register to vote, get their absentee ballot and election reminders, or pledge to register if currently too young to vote.

For people who aren’t able to get to their polling place on March 10, absentee ballots are available upon request at Vote.org.

Further information about voting events on campus can be found at https://semo.edu/campuslife/vote.html.
