Rain storm set to roll through the Cape Girardeau and surrounding regions

Strong winds and heavy rainfall are likely to begin at 6 pm lasting through the night until 11 am Friday morning.

Flood watch and wind advisories are in effect for the Cape Girardeau region and surrounding areas as issued by the National Weather Service. Heavy rainfall and strong wind will continue through the night and are set to be at their strongest early Friday morning.

Temperatures are set to drop into the low 40’s overnight and raise to the mid 50’s Friday. This weekend is set to be calm, cool, and sunny while in the low 60’s according to KFVS | Weather.
