A gold Chevrolet Trailblazer struck the side of a River Campus shuttle around 1:45 p.m. today, according to Doug Richards, the director of the Department of Public Safety.
"The gold [vehicle] was stopped on Ellis Street and Independence Street intersection," Richards said. "The university bus was eastbound on Independence approaching the intersection when the driver of the gold [vehicle] started to continue south. He failed to yield after stopping [and] was issued a citation."
Richard added that there were five students riding the shuttle to the River Campus, and that no injuries occurred. Both the shuttle and the gold vehicle are still driveable.
