Christian recording artist Jamie Grace will perform at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus on May 4 at 7 p.m. in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall, in honor of Cape Girardeau’s radio station KHIS’s 10-year anniversary.

KHIS is celebrating its 10th anniversary with Grace as the headliner for the night along with opening act Stomptown Revival.

“We'll also feature Jimmie Miller and his Broken and Redeemed Dance Studio hip-hop dance troop,” Bobbi Ann Mason, program director of KHIS, said.

“Throughout the evening, we will be celebrating the past 10 years of growth at KHIS and honoring all of our listeners and financial supporters for their faithfulness over the last decade,” Mason said.

“KHIS chose to hold the concert at the River Campus because it's an incredible facility, and all of the seats have a great view of the stage,” Mason said.

Mason said she hopes concert-goers will have a great time, love the music and be encouraged in their personal walk with Christ.

“Our goal at any and all of our events is ultimately to glorify God and to have some fun,” Mason said.

The 24-year-old singer, songwriter from Atlanta is also a guitarist, speaker, worship leader, actress and founder of ImAFighter.org, which is a website for the “fighters” who have faced life- altering challenges.

Grace was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at the age of 11. After being diagnosed with TS, OCD and ADHD she began to pursue music, acting and speaking because she wanted to inspire and encourage others who experienced situations similar to her own.

She started creating YouTube videos at the age of 14 for her music and “ImAFighter.” She became a cast member at the age of 17 on TBN’s iShine KNET. She toured with iShine with a pop/hip-hop CD that she self-produced.

The success of her YouTube channel got her a record deal and a national tour as a keynote speaker.

At the young age of 19, she was nominated for a Grammy, a Billboard award and the Dove Awards. She won Dove’s New Artist of the Year Award in 2012.

She is now an independent artist with four No. 1 singles, nominations, millions of views on her YouTube videos and a tour. She is a part of the country-influenced pop group, Harper Still, alongside her sister, Morgan Harper Nichols. She is also a worship leader at her church in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

The event costs $10 to $50 and tickets may be purchased at the River Campus Box Office or online at RiverCampusEvents.com. The River Campus Box Office is located at 518 S. Fountain St. and its hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. The box office’s phone number is (573) 651-2265
