This year my friends and I have been frequenting downtown Cape Girardeau. It wasn't until this year that I realized how much is actually downtown! There's everything from antique shops, to coffee shops, to the bar scene. Whether I'm looking for a relaxing night in or a fun night out, there is plenty for my friends and me to do downtown.

One of my favorite activities downtown is getting ice cream from Port Cape. It's such a cute walkup ice cream place with beautiful scenery of the river.

Another thing I also really enjoy is playing sand volleyball at The Library. Sometimes there's even live music downtown to go listen to. There's nothing better than sitting on the patio of Bel-Air Grill on a beautiful evening enjoying a beverage, fried pickles and listening to the band play with a group of my friends.

Something I'm really excited for is the new casino to open. I've never been to a casino, and by the looks of it the Isle of Capri Casino is going to attract many college students. I know my friends and I will definitely experience the casino a few times!

Overall, I think Cape Girardeau has a great night life for everyone. Whether you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a beverage or you're just looking for a relaxing evening with the most delicious ice cream in town, Cape Girardeau has the best of both worlds. I encourage everyone to go downtown and enjoy themselves! And when the Isle of Capri Casino opens, I encourage everyone to join me in my first casino experience!
